Old Town Daegu for Dinner
Meal, Post-Meal and All the Color in the World
A few years ago, I made a conscious effort to swap into color with a vengeance. I wanted badly to move away from the haughty aspiration of black and white art photography. It has been a few years out now, and I feel confident in my own version of a color style.
Once again, I find myself thinking of writing something in response to something somebody else said. Instead, I’m just gonna drop the images. It’s in the nunchi, if you can read that, I guess.
Thus, here’s a nice night in Daegu having dinner with the girl and the subsequent walk around after that. The meal was flame grilled bulgogi. Following the meal, we had some pig skin. Top moment of the month when the two ajeossi sat down next to us and said, “Oh, they have pig skin. Let’s get some.” after viewing our offerings.
Cheers,
Hanz

I have a constant internal battle between shooting in colour or black and white. For what it's worth, my preference is black and white as I'm usually more interested in shape, texture and tonality. However, when colour is the story, then colour it is. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. I would never avoid one exclusively in favour of the other - other than when using black and white film when there's no option for colour without swapping rolls!
Nice series of shots, BTW.
